AC Keeper Privacy Policy

AC Keeper is an app made by Unreal Constructions ("we", "us"). It helps air conditioning installers keep track of the systems they install and when they're due for a service, and helps home and business owners remember to clean filters and book services. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
Your account: your email address (used to sign in with a one-time code), your name, and whether you use the app as an installer or a home owner. Installers can also add a business name, phone number, business email and the suburbs they service.
Installer records: details installers enter about the systems they install. This can include a customer's name, phone number, email and address, and the unit's type, brand, model, serial number, kW ratings, install date, warranty date, service dates and notes.
Home owner records: details you enter about your own air conditioners, such as nickname, type, brand, model, install date, warranty date and when filters were last cleaned or the unit was last serviced, and which technician you've chosen.
Feedback: anything you send us through the app's feedback section.
Subscriptions: installer subscriptions are bought through Apple. We never see or store your card details. Apple tells our subscription provider, RevenueCat, whether your account has an active subscription, so the app can switch on paid features.
Reminders and alerts: filter and service reminders are scheduled on your phone. If an installer allows notifications, we store a push notification token so we can alert them when a new customer joins. We don't collect your location, contacts, photos or advertising identifier.
How we use it
We use this information only to run AC Keeper: to sign you in, store and sync your records across devices, show service due dates and reminders, connect a home owner with the installer they choose (for example through an invite code), list subscribed installers who choose to appear in "find a technician", send installers new-customer alerts, provide support, and improve the app using your feedback.
We do not sell your information, we do not show ads, and we do not use your information to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Who can see it
An installer's customer records are only visible to that installer. When a home owner joins using an installer's invite code, or chooses an installer in the app, that installer can see the home owner's name, contact details and the details of the linked units so they can arrange services. A home owner can switch to a different technician or remove the link at any time. Subscribed installers who choose to be listed show their business name, phone, email and suburbs to signed-in home owners in "find a technician".
Installers are responsible for having their customers' permission before adding their details to the app.
Service providers
We use trusted providers to run the app: Supabase (secure database and sign-in), Resend (sending sign-in code emails), RevenueCat (subscription status), Expo (delivering push notifications) and Apple (App Store purchases). They process information only to provide these services to us. Some of these providers store data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States.
Keeping it safe
Information is sent over encrypted connections and stored with access rules so that each person can only reach their own records and the records shared with them as described above.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. If you delete your account, your profile, installs, units and service history are deleted from our database. Feedback you've sent is kept without your name attached. Apple and RevenueCat keep their own purchase records as required by law.
Your choices
You can view and change your details in the app at any time. You can delete your account and its data in the app: Account (installers) or Settings (home owners), then "Delete my account". You can also email us to ask for a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion.
Children
AC Keeper is meant for adults and businesses and is not directed at children under 16.
Changes
If we make important changes to this policy we will update the date above and let you know in the app.
